Patient Information

Preventative and comprehensive care, along with patient education are key components in achieving and maintaining optimal oral health for you and your family. It requires routine dental check-ups and for patients to care for their teeth and mouth at home. During your office visit, we will provide a thorough, extensive exam which will assess the overall health of your teeth, gums, and bone. We also evaluate for any oral cancer risks, along with a medical history review and potential complications from systemic diseases. We aim to provide you with a solid plan for caring for your mouth and for addressing any concerns you may have.
When you book your first dental care appointment with us, we will go through a detailed and complete assessment of your medical history and oral health. This will give us an idea of best courses to take, things we need to steer clear of, and procedures we may recommend for medical, dental, or aesthetic reasons.

Dental Anxiety

Many people suffer from a high level of stress or anxiety just at the thought of their next dental appointment. As a result, they avoid going to the dentist altogether. This often prevents them from receiving the proper dental care they need to achieve optimal oral health. At Deerfoot Meadows Dental, we offer our patients the option of oral sedation to help them relax if needed. Please let us know if you have any questions, or would like further information. We are here to make your dental experience as stress free and relaxed as possible.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Debit, & Cash. For extensive treatment requirements, please speak with us to discuss options for financial arrangements. For general procedures, payment is due when services are performed after each visit.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our patients' personal information. The information we collect is used to improve the level of communication and to provide accurate and reliable dental services. Download our full privacy policy.

Cancelation Policy

We understand things come up, and when they do, they can throw a wrench into your plans. If you need to rebook or cancel your scheduled dental appointment, please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This may help another patient book an earlier time, or allow us to treat a dental emergency. A fee may be charged if a 48 hour notice is not provided.

Direct Insurance Billing

Dental insurance plans can be difficult to navigate. There are so many dental insurance providers in Calgary, and so many employers offering different benefit plans, that it can be difficult to know exactly what is included in every patient's individual plan. For this reason, a number of dental offices in Calgary have stopped accepting direct billing, and rely on patients to pay upfront and submit their own claims after the appointment is complete.

At Deerfoot Meadows Dental, we accept almost all dental insurance providers, and offer direct billing for the convenience of our patients. We make every effort to gather detailed information regarding your insurance coverage, but ultimately, you are responsible for the costs of services provided. Most of the time, if your procedure is covered by your insurance provider, you are only responsible for the portion not covered by your benefit plan. Your treatment plan is based on your needs, not on your insurance coverage. We will inform you, to the best of our ability, when a treatment may not be covered, you are approaching your yearly maximum, or if the treatment is beyond your coverage.
